Due to the increasing global spread of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and based on the recommendations of the German Federal Government and the Bavarian State Government, Messe München feels compelled to postpone automatica 2020. This measure has been taken in consultation with the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association as conceptual sponsor and in responsibility for the health of exhibitors and visitors. automatica 2020 will instead take place from December 8 to 11, 2020.

The last decade has seen an amazing advancement in embedded system development techniques, tools and technologies. Today, we now have microcontrollers with clock speeds above 1 GHz with more than 4 megabytes for flash storage. This dramatic increase in capabilities for microcontrollers and their affordable costs is going to usher in a completely new design paradigm in the decade to come.

On 6-8 October 2020, the international event organiser Easyfairs will launch a Dutch edition of its successful Welding Week in conjunction with NIL (Dutch Institute for Welding Technology) at Evenementenhal Gorinchem. The event will replace NIL Verbindingsweek with the new branding “Welding Week powered by NIL”.

The leading manufacturing industry exhibition WIN EURASIA is preparing to host thousands of exhibitors and visitors from all around the world. WIN EURASIA brings together six international industrial exhibitions under one roof and will be held at TÜYAP Istanbul Fair and Exhibition Center on March 12-15, 2020.

In future Composites Europe and the trade association Composites Germany will cooperate even more closely and organise the International Composites Conference (ICC) jointly from 2019. The conference structure will be significantly revised and the former separation between trade fair and lecture events will end.

EMO Hannover – the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking industry – is a key showcase for innovations and an essential driver of global production technology. This year‘s fair takes place 16 – 21 September 2019 and puts special focus on the recruiting of young talents.

The last edition of BI-MU, held in October 2018, closed with the full satisfaction of exhibitors: this is highlighted by the results of the customer-satisfaction questionnaires sent to the exhibiting companies by the organisers in the month of December. The questionnaire response rate by the exhibitors was 40 per cent.
