Three more years: Böse heads UFI's European Chapter
Following his re-election as Chairman of the European Chapter, Gerald Böse, the CEO of Koelnmesse - will continue his involvement in the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) for another three years, the trade fair organizer announced in Cologne.
Böse's second term of office will begin during the next UFI Global Congress, which will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, in early November. "I'm delighted that I will be able to continue my involvement in the association, and I would like to thank the European members for the trust they have placed in me," says Gerald Böse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH. "Our leading trade fairs in Europe provide world trade with crucial momentum again and again. In addition, we need to address future-oriented issues such as digitalization, investment in infrastructure, and concepts for transportation and logistics. I would like to build on this work successfully during my second term of office."
The European Chapter has more than 300 members, making it the largest chapter in the UFI, ahead of the Asia/Pacific and Middle East/Africa regional chapters. Because of his re-election as Chairman of the European Chapter, Gerald Böse will continue to be a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the UFI. This will enable him to also continue his intense involvement in the further development of the international trade fair industry at the global level.
