New Head of Services at Messe Frankfurt
Cordelia von Gymnich (56) has taken over at the helm of Messe Frankfurt's Services division effective 1 October 2017. In this capacity, she succeeds Dr. Andreas Winckler, who was appointed to the Extended Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt as Chief of Information Technology.
Cordelia von Gymnich began her career at Messe Frankfurt in 1989. Here, she held the position of Area Sales Manager for Latin America and Director of International Sales before assuming responsibility for Entertainment, Media & Creation in 2000. Since October 2013, she has been responsible for the Consumer Goods division, including the Paperworld, Creativeworld, Christmasworld and Floradecora trade fairs. Cordelia von Gymnich will continue to oversee this area temporarily until a succession arrangement has been finalised.
In her new function, she is responsible for the Sales Services, Visitor Services, Infrastructure Services and Location Services departments. Uwe Behm, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, is confident that the area of Services is in very good hands under its new management: “Cordelia von Gymnich has many years of managerial and event experience at Messe Frankfurt – and in many different areas. This means that she is extremely familiar with what our exhibitors and visitors need and expect.”
