Messe Stuttgart taking over ibex in Iran
Messe Stuttgart is continuing to expand its business activities in Iran. A partnership has now been established with ibex, the most important Iranian trade fair for the bakery trade. The German trade fair organiser will be responsible at the next event for everything relating to international exhibitors and for its local implementation from 22 - 25 November 2018.
The focal points of ibex are bakery and confectionery machinery, flour mills and machines for producing and processing flour, raw materials and additives, as well as packaging technology. The topics of shop construction, shop fittings, snack business, coffee, aromas and additives will be extended in future. The partners of ibex are the industry associations for the mill, bakery technology and bakery industry: Federation of the Iranian Food Industry, Iran Bread Union, Bulk and Semi-Bulk Bread Union and Iranian Bread Producer & Exporter Federation. Over 1,400 companies are organised in the Federation of the Iranian Food Industry. ibex therefore has the full support of the entire industry.
Messe Stuttgart has been active in Iran since the lifting of the sanctions in January 2016 and stages AMB Iran, International Exhibition for Metal Working, every year together with the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW). As the organiser with its own office in Iran, Messe Stuttgart is responsible for international and local sales, as well as the entire local management of the event. Messe Stuttgart has been involved in the bakery and confectionery industry since 1978 with the südback trade fair. With more than 650 exhibitors from 20 countries, südback is the most important trend trade fair for the bakery and confectionery trades in Germany. 37,126 visitors came to südback 2017 in Stuttgart, this number also included around 6,000 international guests from more than 90 countries.
