Building ele- ments such as roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems will play an important part, in particular with regard to automatic drives and control. This means high requirements re- garding operational and electri- cal safety, which must go hand in hand with the desired application. For this reason, the ift special show “Komfort + Sicherheit” (comfort + safety) will also be a feature at R+T 2018 in Stuttgart. In the new Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10) it will be high- lighted what doors and gates and their components can and must do today, how demands can be ana- lysed and how quality can be as- sured. This will be complemented by a presentation forum organised jointly with the National Federa- tion of Door and Gate Manufactur- ers (BVT). By means of anti-lift devices, sta- ble armour plating, and reinforced guide rails, roller shutters provide effective protection against at- tempted burglary. An exhibitor, for example, offers a security roller shutter certified in accord- ance with DIN EN 1627 resistance class RC2, as well as a special secu- rity package for V6 und V10 front- mounted roller shutters. Addition- al protection can be provided by means of a Smart Home control system that simulates the presence of persons in the building. The au- tomatic opening and closing of the roller shutters and the switching on of lights creates the impression that someone is at home. Another company offers a large range of se- curity roller shutters. A highly du- rable, two-component integrated material foaming gives the filigree bar its extreme bending strength and stability. The stainless-steel roller shutters impress with sta- ble armour plating, an anti-lift de- vice and reinforced guide rails. The twin-walled stainless-steel rods are extremely stable and durable. Oth- er theme worlds at R+T in Stuttgart will also deal with the topic of se- curity: An exhibitor offers a wide range of products that take secu- rity requirements into account. For example, a new glass folding wall guarantees optimum protection against burglary. A special gearbox with a 24-millimetre stroke locks the blades in the upper and lower frame profiles. For maximum secu- rity, lock monitoring with contacts and covered cable ducts are possi- ble as with a version in accordance with RC2 and RC2N. Specialist visitors to R+T 2018 in Stuttgart can look forward to the presentation of many products in which the safety and security as- pects have been fully considered, but nevertheless the function and design have not been pushed into the background. At the R+T trade fair, it will be demonstrated that there is a correct solution for every application, in which no compromises need to be made. The direct exchange of ideas and opinions with experts on this topic both at the trade fair stands and in the course of the framework pro- gramme will make it possible to take into consideration market re- quirements regarding this theme at all times. Photo: Warema Am Puls der Zeit: Viel Platz für Komfort + Sicherheit Was Türen, Tore und deren Komponenten heute leisten können und müssen – Sonderschau in neuer Paul-Horn-Halle, Stand 10D31 Die Sonderschau „Komfort + Si- cherheit“ in der neuen Paul Horn Halle trifft den Veranstaltern zu- folge den Puls der Zeit. Beide Be- reiche – sowohl der des Komforts als auch der der Sicherheit – neh- men auf der R+T in Stuttgart viel Raum ein. Das treffe sowohl auf die Produkte als auch auf das Rah- menprogramm zu, heißt es. So zeigt die ift-Sonderschau „Komfort + Sicherheit“, was Tü- ren, Tore und deren Komponenten heute leisten können und müssen, wie die Anforderungen zu prü- fen sind und wie Sicherheit sowie Qualität erreicht werden. „Es sind Türen, Tore und Fenster, die aus nackten Mauern Häuser machen“, sagt Andreas Schmidt, Produkt- manager Türen und Tore beim ift Rosenheim. „Diese Bauelemente regeln das Hausklima und ermögli- chen einen einfachen, komfortab- len und sicheren Zugang – und das tausendfach. Türen und Tore sind die Visitenkarten eines Gebäudes, bestechen durch ihre Funktion und überzeugen in ihrer Gesamt- heit“, fasst er die hohen Anforde- rungen zusammen. Die Nachfrage nach automatisch angetriebenen Bauelementen wächst ständig, weil Komfort und Sicherheit verbessert und die Be- dienung erleichtert werden. Bau- elemente mit elektrischem An- trieb sind gleichzeitig aber auch Maschinen im Sinne der Maschi- nenrichtlinie und unterliegen spe- ziellen Sicherheitsanforderungen. Dies gilt auch, wenn sie aus Bau- gruppen erst an der Betriebsstelle zusammengefügt werden. Ein be- sonderer Schwerpunkt des ift Ro- senheims auf der R+T in Stuttgart liegt deshalb auf der Planung und Auslegung der Antriebe und Steu- erungen sowie auf den konstruk- tiv bedingten Eigenschaften. Hier tritt die elektrische und funktio- nale Sicherheit der Komponenten in den Mittelpunkt. Abgerundet wird das Programm in Stuttgart unter anderem mit Themen zum Feuer- und Rauchschutz und der Einbruchhemmung. Die technisch oft komplexen Bereiche werden auf der Sonderschau „Komfort + Sicherheit“ greifbar gemacht: Die Messebesucher können die prak- tische Umsetzung auf Aktions- zonen live erleben. Namhafte Hersteller beteiligen sich als Mit- aussteller mit innovativen Expo- naten. So werden zum Beispiel Einbruchsversuche an einem Tor vorgenommen, die Messebesu- cher dürfen sich von der Stabilität und Sicherheit der vorgestellten Exponate überzeugen. Dies gilt auch für den Bereich der elektrischen und funktionalen Sicherheit. „Hier zeigen wir die Funktionsweise von Steuerungen und die Absicherung eines auto- matisch angetriebenen Tores“, sagt Andreas Schmidt. „Den An- forderungen und Prüfungen der funktionalen und elektrischen Sicherheit wird dabei ebenfalls Rechnung getragen und unse- re Fachleute stehen für Fragen bereit.“ Auf der ift-Sonderschau wird zudem der Bereich Brand- schutz thematisiert. Die Besucher können einen geprüften Brand- schutzvorhang in Augenschein nehmen.
