••• 10••• Messewelten Digital Way at AMB 2018 New special show to celebrate its debut in Stuttgart AMB 2018 takes the digital path: By staging the “Digital Way” special show during AMB, the organisers want to “make the metal cutting industry even more aware of this topic and take account of the high demand for information,” stresses Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, CEO of Messe Stuttgart. In addition to a first-class expert confer- ence, which is being developed in coopera- tion with the Software and Digitalisation Association in the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), and a supplementary accompanying exhibition with over 50 com- panies, interactive showcases will demon- strate the interaction between networked processes in companies and will describe their added value. The accompanying exhibition will feature manufacturers of software solutions in the areas of digital business processes and mod- els, digital production, digital product devel- opment, digital services & customer service and software development, as well as ser- vice providers and manufacturers of hard- ware. Further opportunities for matchmak- ing between Digital Way exhibitors, visitors and exhibitors at AMB and conference del- egates will be available due to the extended opening hours of Digital Way on the first day of the exhibition with an additional network- ing event. The concept has met with great interest both in the associations and in the IT and metal working industries. Prof. Claus Oetter, Deputy director of the Software and Digitalisation Association in the VDMA, says “the synergy between IT and the software industry, as well as the Engineering Associa- tion, is what characterises the innovation in digitalisation in the first place.” “In the digitalised world only industry can manufacture new products which are ben- eficial to producers and customers,” he stresses. Digital Way is a special show that will take place from 18 to 19 September 2018 at AMB in Stuttgart. It is dedicated to the increasing digitalisation in production. Photo: Messe Stuttgart New show layout MACH to return with “another bumper show” M ACH 2018 takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 9th-13th April and is on course to be another bumper show, organizer MTA (Manufacturing Technolo- gies Association) reports. With a new lay- out, the showcase for advanced engineer- ing and manufacturing will return on the atrium side of the NEC. Following on from the “sold-out success of MACH 2016”, the MTA CEO James Selka commented: “With new halls and extra space to sell, we are seeing premium spots being snapped up by exhibitors at a good rate, leaving us with a little under a quarter of the show left to sell, which is a very en- couraging sign for the industry at this stage. So we’d encourage all companies wishing to book a stand for MACH 2018 to act quickly to secure their space at the UK’s premier manufacturing technologies showcase.” MACH 2018 will take place on the atrium side of the NEC, in Halls 17, 18, 19, 20, 6 and 7. This is the first move of the show since re- locating to the NEC when it opened in 1976 and reflects the changing technologies the show covers. The new layout of the show is all on one level, enhancing both the visi- tor and exhibitor experience. The show is the UK’s premier manufacturing technolo- gy showcase and will take an in-depth look at the latest technological advances in and around the advanced manufacturing sec- tor. Hot topics for discussion at the show will include Industry 4.0 and the intercon- nectivity of machines, Additive Manufactur- ing and cyber security, to name but a few. Zusätzlich gibt es die Spanndorne mit Einschraubgewinden M12 und M16. Dies ermöglicht ein schnelles Entfernen oder Umsetzen der Stifte. Für die leichtere Bearbeitung sind die Press-Fit Dorne auch in ei- ner Kohlenstoffstahl-Version erhält- lich. Die Montage und Demontage auf der Vorrichtungsplatte ist ein- fach. Mit Hilfe einer Zylinderkopf- schraube lassen sich die Spanndorne leicht einpressen, ohne zu verkanten. Für eine optimale Wiederholgenau- igkeit empfiehlt IBT, den Schaft in einer Passbohrung mit zentrischem Gewinde für die Kegelkopfschraube zu platzieren. Spezielle Bohrbuch- sen können die Standzeit der Spann- vorrichtung zusätzlich verbessern. In Anwendungen, bei denen keine hohe Präzision erforderlich ist, kön- nen die Stifte auch ohne Passboh- rung leicht auf der Vorrichtungsplat- te montiert werden. IBT zeigt in Stuttgart auch die Zwei-Stationen-Schraubstöcke TOOLEX. Diese sind vielseitig einsetzbar, bieten eine hohe Spann- kraft und minimale Fertigungs- toleranzen, die eine Wiederhol- genauigkeit von 1/100 Millimeter ermöglichen. Für die Schraubstö- cke sind weiche, bearbeitbare und gehärtete Aufsatzbacken sowie ein Schnellwechselsystem erhältlich. Dieses erlaubt die Umrüstung auf einen anderen Backensatz inner- halb weniger Sekunden. Darüber hinaus bietet TOOLEX Vorrich- tungsplatten an, mit denen sich verschiedene Arbeiten mit einem Schraubstock erledigen lassen. Zu den Exponaten gehört auch der Zentrumspanner PIRANHA Clamp. Er überzeugt durch ho- he Präzision und Spannkraft. Die Spindel hält Drücken bis weit über 1.300 Nm2 stand. Durch die ge- ringe Einspanntiefe von nur drei Millimetern und eine sehr niedri- ge Bauhöhe ist das System vielsei- tig einsetzbar. Anwender erhalten darüber hinaus ein besonders lang- lebiges Produkt: Sämtliche Bautei- le sind gehärtet, die meisten Teile oberflächenbehandelt, und Spindel wie auch Führungssäulen sind zu- dem beschichtet.
