The event, to be held at the Exhi- bition Centre Nuremberg on 11-12 April 2018 in conjunction with the international congress MedTech Summit – Congress and Part- nering, will once again strive to appeal to all manufacturer and supplier fields in medical technol- ogy. “The growth in networking is creating new challenges for manufacturers in terms of IT se- curity,” says exhibition director Alexander Stein. “That’s some- thing we will be addressing.” NürnbergMesse can count on broad professional support in this area: the event will be supported by an expert committee consist- ing of the ZVEI (German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association), IVAM Microtechnol- ogy Network, BVMed (German Medical Technology Association), the MedTech Pharma forum and Medical Valley, together with manufacturers. Spectaris, the German High-Tech Industry Asso- ciation, has now also expressed its support for MT-Connect. As a platform for the industry, MT- Connect pools expertise from all the sub-areas of medical technol- ogy, from technology and pro- duction to financing, marketing and regulatory affairs. This is where manufacturers, sup- pliers and service organisations as well as research and education in- stitutions in the medical technol- ogy industry meet to exchange ideas. The international MedTech Summit congress is being held at the same time, in the immediate vicinity of MT-Connect. Promising market: Medical Fair India in March 2018 After the successful Medical Fair India 2017, Messe Düsseldorf India started the preparation for the Medical Fair India 2018 in Mumbai. India is counted as one of the world’s most promising markets for medi- cal devices and medical engineering. 13,480 trade visitors and 519 exhibitors attended this year’s Medi- cal Fair India finished in New Delhi in April. The edition 2018 will be held at the Bombay Conven- tion & Exhibition Centre from 16 to 18 March next year. One major component of the Medical Fair India 2018 will be Clin Lab India again. The conference will follow the trend in focusing on lab medicine. It will also be accompanied by an exhibition. More informa- tion is available at www.medicalfair-india.com . Bigger than before: opti 2018 with a new hall Larger range of pro- ducts: From 12 to 14 Janu- ary 2018, the exhibitors of opti will present their new products in five halls, instead of in four at the Fairground Messe München. The Halls C1 to C4 are now joined by Hall B4. In January 2018, opti vi- sitors will be able to in- form themselves about the newest products in eyeglass frames, contact len- ses, spectacle lenses, Low Vision, shop fittings, shop design, accessories, and machines in five halls. Opti will encompass a complete overview of the entire optics spectrum. At opti, the entire spec- trum of optics will be shown on 12-14 January, 2018 in Munich.
