Hannover Messe 2017
•••24••• Messewelten Premiere für Young Engineers Day Am 27. WoMen Power career conference Attracting an audience of rough- ly 1,400, the WoMenPower ca- reer conference, staged by Deutsche Messe congruently with Hannover Messe for the 14th time, takes place on 28 April. WoMenPower is a networking and discussion platform for women on issues involving ca- reers, success strategies and in- novative forms of work. This year’s slogan is “Work 4.0 – Boundless communication”. The opening address will be held by Andrea Nahles, Federal Minis- ter of Labour and Social Affairs. Further speakers are Thomas Sigi, speaking on “Generating an Ad- vantage from Visions” and Mar- tina Koederitz, speaking on “The New Generation of Women”. These keynotes will be followed by a programme of workshops, interactive presentations and discussion sessions – 40 in all. These events are divided into the categories of “Professional Responsibilities”, “Leadership and Career”, “Career and Life” and “Work in Transition”. The topics include “Career and Chil- dren – How It’s Done” (Dr. Karina Kögler), “Smart Goals and Effec- tive Time Organization” (Susanne Lübben), “Flexible Work Models in Management Positions” (Nina Bessing), “Female Careers in the Age of Digitalization” (Dr. Bar- bara Burkhardt-Reich, Dr. Elke Theobald) and “Playing with Power” (Marion Knaths). Many women will be attending the conference to find out all about the latest developments in the world of careers and pro- fessions, with networking also being a major focus of the event. To promote the latter, the organ- izers have set up a Networking Night the day before the confer- ence – an outstanding setting for informal chats among female at- tendees and speakers. The event programme is available at www. womenpower-kongress.de. The WoMenPower career confe- rence will take place on 28 April.
