Our mobility system is facing a radical process of change. Driven by digitalisation and decarbonisation, the boundaries between logistics, mobility, infrastructure and transport are falling. New, networked, integrated and inter-modal systems are being created. To reflect these changes and to discuss their impact on the economy and society, Messe Frankfurt is planning a new trade fair with accompanying congresses on the subjects of digitalisation, ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) and intermodal systems, which will be held in cooperation with leading German transport and mobility associations in Frankfurt am Main from 20 to 22 November 2017.
With the new event in the ‘Mobility & Logistics’ Business Unit, Messe Frankfurt aims to close a gap in the national and international trade-fair market and create the first independent platform with digital transformation in the mobility and transport sector as the superordinate theme.
The partners and supporters of the new event are the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur – BMVI), the State of Hessen, represented by the Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development of the State of Hessen (Hessisches Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Energie, Verkehr und Landesentwicklung), the German Society for Intelligent Transport and Mobility Systems (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Intelligente Verkehrssysteme e. V. – ITS DE), the Association of German Transport Companies (Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen e. V. – VDV), the German Association of Transport Sciences (Deutsche Verkehrswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e. V. – DVWG), and the German Mobility and Transport Forum (Deutsches Verkehrsforum e. V. – DVF).
Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, says, “Hypermotion revolves around the irreversible process of digital transformation in the mobility, logistics, infrastructure, transport and traffic fields. Thanks to its location in the heart of Europe and its exemplary road, rail and air infrastructure, Frankfurt is the ideal venue for an event of this kind. We want to take account of this wide-ranging and disruptive subject, which is so important for Germany, and provide a platform for future-oriented companies, start-ups, the world of science, politics and administration, as well as interested parties from all over the world.”
