Today’s transport companies are coming up with all sorts of ideas with the aim of creating a pleasant atmosphere in public transport. The organizer names just a few examples: In Japan it takes seven minutes to clean the Shinkansen, in Austria train toilets are decorated with photographic wallpaper and fragrant aromas, while in Switzerland digitalisation is on the march, with robots being used to clean station floors. And in Germany customers can use WhatsApp to provide the railway operators with up-to-date details about areas that require cleaning.
At InnoTrans 2018 an entire hall is available for exhibitors to reveal the latest specialised products and innovations in the field of public transport. In hall 7.2 c leading companies from Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Singapore, France, Austria, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany are demonstrating how train interiors and exteriors can be expertly cleaned. The range of products includes toilet waste disposal systems and washing facilities as well as cleaning, care and disinfectant products. InnoTrans is the one of the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology and takes place every two years in Berlin. At the last event 2,955 exhibitors from 60 countries presented the global rail industry’s innovations to 137,391 trade visitors who came from 119 countries.
